Of Course People Don't Want War...

Alright, I'll be quick about it because I am baked literally from being in the sun all day long hauling geotek and plywood for the Summerlove show at Thunderbird tomorrow. I've just deleted a long rant about skate fashion, and would like to offer the following quote which I discovered on coop radio's website. Sorry to get all political on everyone, but it does seem sort of relevant to me...

"Why of course the people don't want war. [..] But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger." --Hitler's #2 Man, Hermann Goering

OK I know this has nothing to do with anything on this website, but I am just reading Day 1 of Mixerman's account of his experience recording a bigtime bidding war band. It is a scream, all the more so because it is actually true. Well I suppose he could be making it up but...actually...no, I don't think he could even make up something this ridiculous. Check it out here.
