Coming up on Granville Island

This thursday, May 15th, 2003, Shocker's group Roadbed will be performing at the Backstage Lounge (1585 Johnston Street on Granville Island) with The Cormorants. Set times will be about 10:15pm and 11:15pm with Roadbed in the early spot.

The Cormorants are a sentimental pop-rock combo from East Vancouver, namely Todd (bass & ollie stale-fish grabs), Dallas (drums, harmonium & cigars), Heather (organ & sci-fi sounds) and myself (crooning & loopy guitaring).

We'll be playing mostly newish things we've been working on (which means I better finish them lyrics fast).

Oddly enough, I heard on the news tonight that some Canadian military type people have named their new helicopters Cormorants. Copy-cats !

Well it fought me until the bitter end but the design for this forthcoming release is done and on the way to the UK for printing.

The release is to be titled La Majeure 1987and we have set an official European release date for Monday, May 26th, 2003. I will have copies of vinyl and CDEP for the online store a couple weeks before that. Keep in mind there will be a limited quantity of vinyl so if you know you want the 7", you can let me know in advance and I'll reserve one for you.

Canadian release date is still not confirmed but should fall in the first week of June or so. Those of you in the States can contact Glenn at Does Everyone Stare to ask when it will be in US stores.
